Prospects of Islamic Education In Public Higher Education

Moving on from some of the problems that have been described above, this fact has encouraged the parties who care about education to make new breakthroughs that could brighten prospects for religious education at public colleges. some the breakthroughs include :

1. New paradigm in learning religious education Muhaimin in the reconstruction of Islamic education explained the differences in development models PAI at public colleges. this model differences arise because of differences of thought in understanding aspect of life. whether religion is a part of life aspect, so the religious life means running one of the aspect of the various aspects of life, or religion is a source of values and operational life, so that religion will characterize every aspect of life it self? so in this context came the dichotomous models the mechanism and the model organism/systemic.

Dichotomous model of looking at everything only seen from opposite sides, such as male and female, and no, round and round, non-religious education and religious education, and so on. the dichotomous view in turn developed in regard aspect of the world and the here after, physical and spiritual life, so that Islamic religious education is simply laid on any aspect of the afterlife or spiritual life alone. The models of the mechanism of looking at life consists of various aspect and education is seen as the establishment and development of a set value of life, each of which moves and runs according to function, like a machne singly and with one another can consult with each other or not.

models organism / systemic within the context of Islamic education start from the view that activities of education is a system that consist of components that live together in an integrated manner toward a certain goal, namely the establishment of religious life inspired by the teaching and religious values. such a view underlined the importance of the framework built from the fundamental doctrines an fundamental value embodied and contained in the AL Qur`an and Assunah al shahiha as the principle source.

2. Inclusivity integration of Islam in Islamic Education
The prospect of Islamic Education in the middle ages offers a paradigm change that is almost similiar to that described in the section. the paradigm in the form of integration inclusiveness Islam in Islamic Education. explained in this case it : if you still want to exist and survive, the spirit of inclusiveness of Islam must be completely integral in teaching materials in the curriculum of Islamic Education.
